Still missing the bits where there's an Inquisitor after us, there's a Crusade imminently about to fall on our heads, and it's bringing everybody. I think you've been misunderstanding the QM for the past month.
Astrid has been mentioned in the beginning as the inquisitor who chased us out of our homeworld and she's part of the ordo hereticus and has been stated she's not gonna give up on hunting and destroying us.
Especially since we are now ruling her home sector of asgardia which is funny since in the original quest she was an important ally now she's looming threat oncoming since she's got bone to pick with us and are heretical ways and how we've taken over the sector that was rightfully hers that she also left to die but that's neither here nor there.
Also she has the loyalty of the Storm Avengers loyalty since she covered for them when we escaped and she has command of her own sisters of battle order the enchanting lady so she's quite powerful. Also she's a high ranking member of the ordo hereticus the group specializing in fighting heretics and we are technically heretics so she's gonna get the support of her ordo.
Also we've been explicitly stated that it Is when not if her crusade strikes us it's the question what turn and how strong it is.
Basically astrids crusade is a nat 1 roll among others like the unforgiven attack we just got but worse since it's a concentrated effort to destroy us and take over instead of just wanting to destroy the fallen and leave.

We know that there is an inquisitorial presence in our territories. How likely is it that the caught wind of the defection from Dark Angels and the reason behind it ?

It is a fortress of the ordo malleus who specialize in deamon hunting and containing warp threats like atleast two greater demons of slannesh one the false saint that terrorized the sector long ago and a fallen iron sentinel captured in a shadow war.
They'll likely know about the beowulf and unforgiven incursion and the fact that the renegades won and got a Gloriana so they'll be extremely worried about but won't know any deeper details unless they dig deeper into it.
They haven't been to important mostly keeping to themselves.

Which is a bit different from how some people were interpreting the QM's answer. Not a timer on a countdown, not an imminent crisis that's about to happen any day now, just a possibility on an event chart.
Basically, we have concerns that are more genuinely an immediate problem. So we shouldn't be fear-mongering over an unlikely event.

Since the thread picked 'Loyalist Brothers' during Chapter Creation, it has always been a matter of when the Loyalist Storm Avengers will show up not if they will. A future Imperial Crusade has always been on the table since then, dependent on when the Loyalist Storm Avengers find you and when they think they have mustered up enough support and allies to destroy you.
Similarly, the Unforgiven Crusade was a matter of when, not if ever since the Knights of the Caliban settled down in the Asgardia Sector.

the sons of the Lion sent ... the 3rd Company of the Consecrators ...
The first clash was between the 4th Company of the Storm Avengers and the 8th Company of the Consecrators
Let's count that as a misspelling.

In a swift response to the assault on their flagship, Grand Master Aradiel and the remainder of Deathwing teleport back onto the Invincible Reason in an attempt to reassert their control. Yet despite Deathwing's infamous prowess, the greater numbers of the boarders and the extensive usage of archeotech weapons of Storm Avengers saw their efforts in vain. To a man, they were slaughtered by grav-cannons and paragon blades even if they didn't go gently into the night.
Grand Master Aradiel put up more of a fight, slaying over two squad's worth of veterans from both Chapters before he was eventually brought down by Grimvard as the Captain of 1st Company overwhelmed him with his command squad backed up by the remains of One-Three and One-Four. It was a brutal battle, but one that not even a master swordsman like Aradiel could win. Grimvard personally struck down the leader of the Dark Angels, using the Blade of Swift Absolution to perform the deed in an odd act of irony.
That's this guy. The next guy in line seems to be Nahariel, seen in Luther: First Of The Fallen.
I've seen Codexes over different years say whether it's a head of office thing or just Azrael. But given that it's taken care of by a Watcher In The Dark, the thing probably was there one moment, then gone the moment nobody was looking.
One of the few things they probably kept. The Watchers look after a decent amount of gear, but not the sheer amount of what we took.
